BERLIN WXTCHES - ACAB

October, 2021

"In Berlin, a terrorist Conspiracy of Witches sowed the seeds of chaos and discord across the city late Friday night, following the eviction of their infamous WXTCH cottage, which they'd occupied for the last 34 years."

Vehicles are aflame. 'Civil' Society is up in arms. Police from around the country are sent in to quell the storm that is brewing.

But with one wxtch violently killed by the cops, others arrested or beaten, and one of the last safe sanctuaries for Queers in the city now evicted and sold to private capital, making way for unaffordable, inaccessible, shiny housing - we must ask ourselves the question, who are the real devils in this tale? Is it the wxtches who cook food for the hungry and provide herbs to the sick? Or the power hungry witch killing Bacon Boys & their capitalist Cronies?

BERLIN WXTCHES ACAB is a whirlwind tale about the Autonomous Coven of Apocalyptic Babalonian Wyddershins Wxtches, (or, ACAB 23.23 for short), an eclectic Collective of radical, Queer feminist Wxtches living in Berlin.

The story is a magical homage to the Queer Anarcha Squat Liebig 34 - a cheeky critique of gentrification and biased media reporting, with a rather grizzly twist at the end. It unfolds across 3 separate (mini) volumes, which feature humorous newspaper reporting (from BILE news), witchy dialogue, comics and collage. And what’s more! Each copy comes with a teeny tiny magnifying glass, so you can investigate, decipher clues, and discover the full picture yourself.
